and interesting series.

who play the characters of the Sahabahs(R.A) are just that and they are

The History of Makkah Mukarramah

سم الله الرحمان الرحيم
In the Name of Allah,
the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

The Location of Makkah Mukarramah

Makkah Mukarramah is located in the west of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
It is situated at the foot of such a valley in the Hijaaz region that is completely
surrounded by mountains. The area that is low-lying and level is called
Bat'haa and the area to the east of the Masjid Haraam is known as Ma'laa
( higher ground ). The area to the west and the south is called Misfala ( lower
ground ). Rasulullaahصلى الله عليه وسلم was from amongst those who lived in
the Ma'laa area. He was born there and lived there until the time he migrated.
To enter Makkah Mukarramah, there are three principle routes, Ma'laa,
Misfala and Shubaykah.

The Virtues of Makkah Mukarramah

Allah Taála had selected this blessed city to be the location of His House.
It was also here that the final Rasul and guide of the worlds
Rasulullaahصلى الله عليه وسلم was born and here also did he begin to announce
his prophethood to the world. It is to this city that Allah Taála has made it
obligatory for His bondsmen to travel to fulfil certain rites. It is for this
reason that people of Imaan arrival in Makkah from all parts of the worlds
with their hearts filled with love and their appearances exuding humility and
submission. They are drawn to this blessed land with simple clothing, open
heads and free from worldly adornment.

The place has been blessed with such sancity and safety that anyone
entering it becomes safe and protected. Even if a person steeped in sin
heads there, he becomes cleansed like a new-born baby. There is no other
place on earth to which Islam has made the journey obligatory. Muslims
have been commanded to make Ta aaf ( circumambulate ) the House of
Allah Taála, something that has no example equal on earth. The Hajar Aswad
( Black Stone) and Rukn Yamaani can boast to have been kissed and
touched by none less than our noble master Rasulullaah صلى الله عليه وسلم.For
Muslims to emulate this is not only allowed in Islam, but highly recommended.

Makkah Mukarramah is that honoured city, the sancity of which Allah Ta'ala
Himself takes an oath on. This is found not once , but twice in the Qurán in
Surah Balad and Surah Teen. In Makkah Mukarramah that the Masjid
Haraam is situated, a Masjid in which the reward of a single salaah is multi-
plied by a hundred thousand.

The city is the location of the Qiblah, a direction towards which every person
performing salaah must face. It is that sacred direction which a person
relieving himself cannot face towards nor can he face his back towards it.
The city also has the privilege of being a place where even intending to do
evil attracts a grave warning of punishment from Allah Taála. The ill effects
and punishment for a sin in this holy place is also amplified.

This is that wonderful place that attracts hearts like a magnet. It is that sweet
fountain that although providing satisfaction, a person's heart cannot get
enough of it. The more a person visits it, the more his heart yearns to return.

The splendid city houses sites where duáas are readily acceppted, where
sins are forgiven and where difficulties are alleviated. The city also has the
honour of being a place of safety for carrying weapons is also forbidden. In
addition to this, no Kuffaar or Mushrikeen are allowed here. When Qiyaamah
draws near and strife will be tearing the world aparts, this special city will be
under the protection of the angels and Dajjaal will be unable to enter it.

The Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم ' Letter

بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
In the Name of Allah,
the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Allah Ta;ala sent Prophet Muhammadصلى الله عليه وسلم  as a mercy
to all mankind. The message of Islam was meant for all people :
Arabs, Africans, Persians, Romans and Turks etc. During his
lifetime, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم invited young and old, friend
and foe, to the religion of peace, Din al-haq al-Islam.

After the Treaty of Hudaybiyah in 626 CE, more and more people
in Arabia were embracing Islam and travelling to Madinah to pledge
allegiance to the Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم. Muhammadصلى الله عليه وسلم
spoke to his Companions in Madinah :

O, people! Allah has sent me as the one
who is compassionate to mankind and
as the prophet to the world.
Therefore, preach (the message of Islam)
on my behalf; Allah will have
mercy upon you....

The Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم, therefore, decided to send Companions
with letters to powerful rulers of his day such as the emperors of
Byzantium and Persia, and the King of Ethiopia. Three of these letters
of invitation to Islam have been preserved to this day.

The story of Heraclius  is an interesting one. He was the ruler of the
vast Byzantine Empire, the true superpower of his day. His capital
was the beautiful city of Constantinople (present day Istanbul,Turkey).

In 628 CE, Heraclius and his army had defeated in battle the second
superpower of his day, the Persian Empire of Khusraw II.

Heraclius was in Homs (Syria) when he received the Prophet'sصلى الله عليه وسلم
letter from his Companion Dihyah ibn Khalifah al-Kalbi رضى الله عنه . The
contents of the letter read as follows :

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
This letter is from Muhammad, the slave of Allah
and His messenger to Heraclius, the ruler of the
Byzantines. Peace be upon him who follows the
right path. Furthermore, I invite you to Islam and
if you become a Muslim, you will be safe, and Allah
will double your reward, but if you reject this
invitation to Islam, you will be committing a sin by
misguiding your subjects. And I recite to you
Allah's statement :

''O people of scriptures (Jews and Christians)!
Come to a word common to you and us that we
associate no partners with Him and that none
of us shall take others as lords besides Allah.
Then if they turn away, say : Bear witness that
we are Muslims.'' (Surah 3: 64)

The letter was written on parchment and was
stamped with the Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم's
seal : Muhammad Rasul Allah.

After reading this letter, Heraclius sent soldiers to search the land
for someone from the Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم's tribe. At the time
Abu Sufyan, the leader of the Quraysh, was on a trading mission
in Gaza, Palestine. Sahih Bukhari discusses the meeting that took
place between Abu Sufyan, still a bitter enemy of the Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم
and the emperor Helaclius.

Heraclius asked many questions about the Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم's
character. Abu Sufyan could not deny that the Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم
was an honest man who ordered his followers to pray, speak the
truth and keep good relations with family members. Abu Sufyan
added: ''By Allah! had I not been afraid of my companions labeling
me a liar, I would not have spoken the truth about the Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم.

Heraclius truly believed that Muhammadصلى الله عليه وسلم was the Prophet
of Allah and said to his own people :

O, Byzantines ! If success is your desire and
if you seek right guidance and want your empire
to remain, then give your pledge of allegiance to
this Prophet (i.e. embrace Islam).

On hearing this, the Byzantines became very annoyed and angry.
Heraclius now understood his own people's deep-seated hatred
of Islam and that he, as their emperor, could not become a Muslim.

Heraclius left Syria for his capital, Constantinople. As he rode north,
he glanced back and said ; ''Farewell for the last time, O land of Syria!''
Hearaclius knew that Islam would soon become the religion of
al balad al-sham (present-day Syria, Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon).

In his lifetime, the Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم 's invitation to Din al-haq-Islam
was accepted by just one ruler : the wise Nagus of Ethiopia, al-Hamdulillah.
After a few years, however, the once mighty empires of Heraclius and
khusraw II along with Egypt all become Muslim lands, Masha'Allah.

1/8 Sultan Muhammad Al-Fatih (Mehmet II) - The Conquest of Constantinopl...

Historical cartoon of the conquering of the Christian capital of Constantinople by the Muslim Sultan Muhammad al-Fatih (Mehmet II - Ottoman Turkish)

For eight centuries, the conquest of Constantinople, now Istanbul, Turkey, was a dream for the Muslim commanders. Ever since the era of the revered companion, Mu`aawiyah Ibn Abu Sufyaan, there had been many attempts to conquer it, but none had succeeded.

Every Muslim commander wanted to be the conqueror praised in the narration in which the Prophet said: "You will conquer Constantinople. Its commander is the best and its army (that will conquer it) is the best."

Muhammad Al-Fatih was born on 27th Rajab, 835 A.H., 30th March, 1432. He was a committed Muslim who abode by the rulings of Islamic jurisprudence. Because of the way he was brought up, he was a pious man.

Muhammad Al-Faatih managed to realize his dreams through hard, continuous work, and well-organized planning. For example, before besieging Constantinople, he prepared for the war by making cannons, preparing his fleet, and making use of all the factors that might render him victorious.

Through high ambition, determination, and the effort to achieve his goals, he managed to materialize his dream, make his hope an existing reality which made him one of the great Muslim heroes and conquerors.

Muhammad Al-Fatih attained this victory when he was twenty three years old. This indicated his early military genius. He also deserved the glad tidings of the Prophet who foretold that a good person would conquer that city.
